Field Trip registration is listed below the conference registration options on this page. Monday workshop registration is free but you must indicate which workshops you want to attend when you get to the payment information page. Alternatively, an off-line registration form is available by clicking here. After downloading, fill in the offline registration form electronically, save as a new file, and email or mail the completed form to conference administration. If you require an invoice, please indicate this in the "Special Instructions" field at the bottom of the form. Volunteers are still needed. Click here to submit a volunteer signup request. Volunteers receive FREE conference registration. Late Registration Is Still Available. The Deadline to Register Online is: Friday, October 12, 2012 at 9pm Central Time. Online registration will close after October 12. Mail-in or emailed registrations will be accepted until Monday, October 15. On-site registration at the conference will be available but is not guaranteed. Registration Instructions:
You may register up to 6 people at a time with the online registration system. If you need to register more people, simply come back and do another transaction or download an offline, mail-in registration form here.
When you click "Add to Cart" for each selection, you will be redirected to a secure payment website. You will then have the option to "Continue Shopping" to add more registrations and field trip selections.
In the billing information page under "Additional Information" you will be asked to include the name and affiliation of each conference attendee and indicate which attendee(s) will be on specific field trip selections. There is also a field to request a vegetarian option.
If you select "Student" registration, you will be required to present a valid student ID at conference registration.
Credit Card Payments will be made to UMISC - Bergner Assoc.

FIELD TRIP REGISTRATION
All field trips will take place on Monday Afternoon. All Field Trips are $25 which includes transportation to the field site.
Introduction and Training on Watercraft Inspection and Decontamination $25
(Combination Workshop and Field Trip)
Boat washing is an appropriate method to help Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers!™ by recreational watercraft users. Hosted at Powerhouse Marina on the Mississippi River, participants will get practical hands-on training on how to inspect and use a watercraft decontamination station to kill and remove zebra mussels on a variety of watercraft. Training is based on new inspection and decontamination protocols by the Minnesota DNR. Through this workshop, participants will also learn how boat washing fits within the national Stop Aquatic Hitchhikers!™ campaign guidelines for recreational watercraft in the context of prevention and containment. Bus will leave at 12:30pm from the La Crosse Center. Limited to 40 participants.

Forest Pest Tour $25
Come see a plantation of chestnut trees where researchers are carrying out biological control of Chestnut Blight, a pine plantation struggling with Heterobasidion Root Disease, a destructive Oriental bittersweet infestation, and learn about emerald ash borer in a heavily infested area. Bus will depart at 12:15pm from the La Crosse Center. Tour will finish at 4:45pm at the La Crosse Center. Limited to 50 participants.

Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Tour $25
This is an in-depth tour to learn about Emerald Ash Borer biology and detection techniques. You will learn to recognize Emerald Ash Borer symptoms in ash trees such as woodpecking and canopy decline and find larvae under bark. The tour will be conducted in a heavily infested area of Great River Bluffs State Park. Bus will depart at 12:15pm from the La Crosse Center. Limited to 50 participants.

USGS Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center Tour $25
The USGS Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center (UMESC) is one of 17 biological research centers across the Nation that conducts science in support of natural resource management, conservation, and restoration. During a field trip to UMESC, participants will learn about research in support of native fisheries management, and the development of new methods for the surveillance (eDNA) and control of aquatic invasive species (Asian carp, zebra mussels) through chemical, biological, or physical means. Limited to 25 participants for each tour.
Two tour options: 1pm (bus departs La Crosse Center at 12:30pm) and 3:00pm (bus departs La Crosse Center at 2:30pm).
